Courtesy Card Maine residents 18 years old or older are eligible to purchase a Library Courtesy card. A positive I.D. and $25.00 in cash or check as well as a completed application are required. A card is issued immediately. The card comes with $2.00 of cash value good for photocopying and printing from the computers. Additional cash value may be added to the card. Courtesy cards are good for one year and are renewable for patrons in good standing. The card provides access to in-library borrowing, URSUS and MaineCat requestor borrowing. Remote access to UMS subscription databases is not provided. Please refer to library staff with any questions.
An additional fee of $35.00 annually is required for ILLiad interlibrary loan services.
Alumni Card USM Alumni are eligible to receive a USM library card at no charge. The USM Card Office will issue an official USM card which can then be activated at any USM Library Circulation desk after an application is completed by the patron. Applicants must have no outstanding library charges on any other records. The card provides access to in-library borrowing, URSUS and Mainecat requestor borrowing. This card may be used for photocopying and printing from the computers. Additional cash value may be added to the card. If inactive for three years the account may need to be reactivated at no charge. Remote access to UMS subscription databases is not provided. Please refer to library staff with any questions.
