The University of Southern Maine has implemented a pay-per-page printing charge. All USM students wishing to print from computers or use photocopiers in the Library will need to obtain a USM card.
Printing to any of the laser printer is $.04 per page. Photocopying is $.07 per page.
What if...
...a printer malfunctions? Staff will correct the problem. You will not have to pay twice.
...there's not enough money in your account? You will not be able to print until a deposit is
made at either a USM Card Services Office or a Card Value Center machine.
What about my Technology fee? The Technology Fee is used to enhance the use of technology in the learning environment. That fee pays for a portion of the costs associated with the purchase and maintenance of computer hardware, network servers and switches, scanners, Internet access, Software licenses, the subscriptions to some research databases, and some of the personnel who support these offerings. The Technology Fee is not intended to subsidize the personal use of expendable supplies.
