Submission Guidelines
Material recommendations for
instruction or research can be submitted online. Please
note that the USM Library does not purchase required textbooks
for the collection. Recommendations will be forwarded
to a librarian with collection development responsibilities
in that subject area for consideration. NOTE: Ordering
and processing materials takes time -- please allow at
least 6 weeks lead time.
Librarians can provide research
assistance by instant messenger, email, phone, or in person.
Each librarian has subject expertise to meet your information
needs.
Can't find the book you need in
URSUS? Through
MaineCat, you can request books from all over the state
from both public and private libraries directly, and
pick them up at the Library, usually within 3-5 days
(Monday-Friday)
Still can't find what your
need? Through interlibrary loan, the Library can get almost
any resource you need, including copies of journal articles,
books, and dissertations.
