- Purpose of the Advisory Board
Individually, members will act as ambassadors for the collection, telling others about the collection and making contacts with community groups. The Board will advise on collection development, programming, and outreach. Members of the board may take on projects actively creating collections and programming.

2. The Board will meet 3 times a year: late October/November after the opening of the Sampson Annual Event; March/April near the USM Pride week; and in June near the Collection's annual open house.
3. The Chair must be a member of the community ( not University staff) and will be chosen by the Board from among its members. The Chair serves a 2 year term, with multiple terms allowed.
